We’re looking for a well-narrated piece set in a Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi, and/or Pasmanda context. We welcome contributors from the community, DBA subject matter experts, History experts, college students — anyone who has a story to tell

What We Publish

Guidelines

● Choose a topic that is relevant to the website’s focus — Dalit, Bahujan, Adiwasi, and Pasmanda Communities.

● The articles should be around 1,000-3000 words.

● We are ideally looking for original contributions that have not been submitted elsewhere. But we have no objections to authors republishing or revising their articles from other publications/websites.

● Please submit your article in a Word document.

● Contributors are cautioned against plagiarism and excessive self-referencing. Make sure your article is well-written and error-free.

● Give an interesting yet simple title that best describes the story.

● Authors are requested to list 6 to 8 keywords for their articles.

● Share your sources and references.

● Include an author bio stating current designation and affiliation, email address, *social media handle, *author photograph (*optional).

What’s the process?

● All articles and writing material must be sent to hello@dalithistory.in. If your draft needs to be considered within a week, please include “[urgent]” in the subject.

● Your article will be shared on Dalit History social media platforms and you will be tagged (dependent on the social accounts provided by you).

● If you haven’t heard from us post two weeks of submission, please send us a reminder email.

● We retain final decision rights over headlines, category, date of publishing, image use, etc.
